The Italian Bakery: A Hands-On Journey to the Heart of Italy

Pack your (imaginary) bags—we’re heading to Italy for a three-hour flour-dusted adventure! This class is all about the authentic flavors of the Italian panificio. We’ll be rolling, stretching, and baking our way through the country’s most iconic doughs.

On the Menu:

  • The Pizza Duo: We’ll start with the classic Margherita, but I’m also introducing you to my personal obsession: Pizza Bianca. Topped with thinly sliced, golden potatoes and sea salt, it might sound like a "carb overload," but trust me—it’s an absolute winner that will change your pizza game forever.

  • Aperitivo-Ready Grissini: We’re getting creative with handmade breadsticks. You’ll learn to infuse them with bold flavors like toasted seeds, garlic, savory tapenade, and Mediterranean spices. They are the ultimate crunchy companion for your next evening drink.

  • Mastering the "Wet Dough" (Ciabatta & Focaccia): The secret to those legendary airy bubbles? A very sticky, high-hydration dough! While it can be intimidating, I’ll show you exactly how to "overcome" the stickiness to produce light-as-air Ciabatta and dimpled, olive-oil-soaked Focaccia.

  • The Sweet Finale: We’ll wrap up our Italian escape by baking traditional Amaretti cookies. These chewy, almond-scented treats are the perfect "dolce" ending to our session.
