Who bakes with me
My scheduled baking classes are small, friendly and completely hands-on. Many people come on their own, and I love seeing everyone settle in, get chatting and feel at home in the kitchen. My students come from all over the world, as well as from just around the corner.
Alongside my regular classes, I run private baking sessions for families, friends, birthdays and hen parties, as well as corporate and team-building experiences for companies looking to spend time together in a more creative way. Over the years, I’ve baked with teams from Google, Facebook, Moët, Thermomix, Lacoste, the NHS and many more.
I work with brands, PR agencies and creative teams to develop baking experiences and events that get people involved. These have included hands-on brand activations, product launches, demonstrations and bespoke events designed around a particular story, product or occasion.
I’ve been baking ever since I was a little girl
I love spending time in my kitchen, kneading bread, seeing the dough develop in my hands, trying out new recipes and making up my own! My passion is home-baked bread, cakes and pastries. It was this passion that pulled me away from corporate life and toward running my own baking school.
I received my professional training at Westminster Kingsway College as well as Lakefield College, where I earned a Professional Chef Diploma Level 3 in Patisserie and Confectionery.
I have run my baking school for 17 wonderful years. During that time I have taught thousands of students how to bake great tasting breads, cakes and pastries from scratch. I teach small, hands-on baking classes from my home kitchen in NW London, where everyone gets plenty of guidance and there’s always time to ask questions, try something new and, of course, enjoy what we make.
On the home front, I am happily married to Marshall (my loud American) and proud mum to two kids: Kasper & Astrid.
Beyond the Baking Classes
Baking is at the heart of what I do, but I love finding new ways to bring people together through food.
I host supper clubs in London, where people get together to enjoy good food, good company and the pleasure of sharing a meal.
I’ve also teamed up with my friend Bethany to host Pilates retreats in the Norfolk countryside. Combining movement, seasonal cooking, baking and shared meals, these weekends offer a chance to slow down, enjoy good food and take a little time away from everyday life.
And then there are my Danish culinary retreats, held at my summerhouse by the Danish seaside. These are a chance to spend time cooking, baking, eating and enjoying the beautiful Danish countryside and surroundings.
I’d love to see you in my kitchen
There are lots of ways to bake, cook, eat and spend time together here. Have a look at the upcoming classes and events, and if something catches your eye, I’d love you to join me.
And if you have something else in mind, just get in touch. I’d love to hear about it.
