Italian Bread Baking Class



In this class we will be baking: Focaccia / Ciabatta / Pizza / Grissini

If you can’t forget that tasty, aromatic Focaccia you had while on holiday in Tuscany, this is the class for you.  This class focuses on the “all Italian” favorite breads: Focaccia and Ciabatta. The dough has a high water content, which can be tricky to work with, but the pay off is amazing! These are light breads, with large air holes, the perfect companion to your favorite pasta dish. Finally, for lunch you will make your own delicious pizza.

This is a 5.5 hour long class. After an introduction to bread making, we will start making the first dough. While the doughs are proving, we will serve a light meal, and I will use the break to discuss bread baking techniques, the kinds of flour to use for certain types of breads and how to make bread baking a part of your daily life. You will take home all the goodies you baked in the class.
